This month, Volkswagen introduced the Tiguan GTE Active Concept at the North American International Auto Show.
Perhaps the top innovation in the Volkswagen Tiguan GTE Active Concept is its plug-in hybrid system. The system uses two electric motors, as well as a gasoline engine. These engines power all four wheels of the vehicle at the push of a button, or automatically.
The Volkswagen Tiguan GTE Active Concept embarks on every adventure in its all-electric E-mode. When in this mode, it is a zero emissions vehicle. The vehicle has up to a 20 mile range in all-electric mode, and the combined electric and gas range is 580 miles.
The next-generation infotainment system in the Volkswagen Tiguan GTE Active Concept is cutting edge. It features a 9.20-inch high-resolution touchscreen, which is clear as glass. Drivers are able to view a variety of media on the screen such as Car-Net App-Connect, Mirror Link, Apple CarPlay and more.

Volkswagen BUDD-e Concept | Larry H. Miller Volkswagen Avondale
Volkswagen's BUDD-e concept vehicle was awarded as Engadget's "Best Innovation Award" at CES 2016. With it's design, performance and capabilities, there's no question why.
The Volkswagen Budd-e concept features a zero emissions drivetrain. This drivetrain provides a range of 233 miles, which is on par with the range for gasoline powered cars today. The vehicle also has a battery that can be charged up to 80 percent within the short time of 15-30 minutes.
The interior of the Volkswagen Budd-e concept is innovative, and it features an advanced infotainment and control systems. This will allow drivers to control items such as their home's air conditioning, lights and more from their car.
Another inventive feature is gesture control 2.0. It uses cameras to register passenger's preferences such as whether or not they want to open the sliding door. It also has the capability to assist the driver with its interactive displays and projections.
